Some of the faces are full of energy and verve, others, you sense, conceal a deep hurt. No shooting is like another. Gerhilde always finds new angles for each photography and each shot in a series. All of this is a logical consequence of her working philosophy ”to give the people in front of the camera as much space as they need to react intuitively.” It doesn´t matter if the people are normal day-to-day people or high class beauty- and fashion models.

Based in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, Gerhilde runs her own studio. With a wide range of experience in productions in Europe, the USA and South Africa for national and international design teams.
Gerhilde produces the most impressive photography. From the first idea over the organization up to the postproduction. In the center of her team of specialists, such as productioners, digital operators, retouchers, make-up artists, hair stylists, set builders, stylists, location scouts, casting directors: Photography and production in one responsibility.
She studied Visual Communications and finished her studies with best examinations. Besides her photography she took on teaching positions at various Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany for many years. Some years ago she put teaching on hold to have more time for her own studies and own development. Furthermore she often takes part in art projects and is in demand on juries for artistic competitions.
